Atticus Finch
Atticus Finch, father of Scout (Jean Louise) and Jem (Jeremy) Finch, is a lawyer from Maycomb County, Alabama. Mr Finch is a strong believer in children being treated as adults. He does not let his children run wild, and gives them a little freedom to develop and become the people they were meant to become. Atticus lets his children call him by his proper name, rather than the paternal, "Dad". He was originally known as "One-Shot-Finch" because of his skill with a rifle. If he fired fifteen bullets and hit fourteen birds, he would consider it a was
waste of ammunition. Atticus Finch is the protagonist in To Kill a Mockingbird.
